ABOUT SPECIAL CLOTHES GARMENTS
We design SPECIAL CLOTHES garments with great attention to detail. They provide the practical features you need while preserving your child's dignity as he or she meets the world. We use only the finest quality materials, including 100% cotton fabrics, genuine Velco ® fastener tape, and sturdy non-allergenic plastic snaps sewn securely into cotton tape. You will find that our thoughtful design and quality construction is reflected in the following details:

All special adaptations, such as Velcro ® closures, snap crotches, bib fronts and G-tube access openings are designed to be inconspicuous.
Pant seats are cut wider and crotches are cut longer than average for better fit and extra comfort.
Velcro tabs are carefully sewn into garments with the stiff side facing away from the skin for comfort and safety.
Every item in our catalogue (except shoes) is fully washable.
We offer optional features which make it possible for you to customize each item to meet the specific needs of your child.
We use low toxicity dyes to create our colors to minimize allergic reactions.
Our relationship with you does not end when the sale is made. If you lose a button, just ask, and we will send you another. If snaps break, send your garment to us with a note, and we will replace them free of charge. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us.

HOW TO MEASURE
Our clothing is not cut like conventional clothing. Please use our sizing chart below and not just approximate size equivalents

Our patterns are constructed using average measurements from the Sizing Chart. Please note that these are measurements of the body, NOT the garment.
SPECIAL CLOTHES undergarments follow the body measurements rather closely, but outer clothing is cut with some fullness to accommodate braces, body jackets, casts, diapers, spinal curves, and typical characteristics of the seated figure. Our clothing is carefully designed to fit a wide range of sizes and body types.
Size adjustment features include the use of a special drawstring elastic, double buttons on swimsuit straps, and ribbed cuffs at wrists and ankles which can be turned up for size adjustment.
Sizing chart measurements are averages. If your child's measurements fall between two size ranges, follow the "Sizing Tips" included in the catalogue at the beginning of each category of clothing.

SPECIAL CLOTHES SIZING CHART(7 sizes)

We have done a lot of research to develop an accurate sizing chart but please remember that the "Standard Sizes" (XXS, XS, Small etc...) are APPROXIMATE ONLY. Measure your child to insure proper fit. Use a standard cloth tape measure if you have one; if not, a simple piece of twine (non-stretchable) or even a piece of ribbon will do and then measure its length with a simple ruler or yard stick. AFTER you have taken your child's measurements, THEN compare them to our sizing chart to arrive at the proper size to order.
